I just realized that I bought nonsense. I bought the first mister over the internet and it was a bit expensive (round $40) but it happened to be the right one. The second I bought at the usual big box hardware shop and it it the wrong one (around$25). The problem is that the timer does not work under one minute and to do cuttings you should have the mister running every 10 minutes for five seconds. It might be useful for watering plants though. But there is another bad thing: if it runs for an entire minute first it needs a lot of water and second our pump starts running too - unfortunately it is situated directly at the bedroom and you don't want it to run at night every hour. To the misting system itself: The one from the big box store is far easier to install. It is a black polypipe and you simply screw the misting nozzles directly in. There are risers to get the mist 25 cm off the ground. The other one is far more fiddly to install you have to cut the pipe and screw the nozzles in at each side. They don't come with risers. For stabilizing the risers you simply put a stake in the ground and wire it on. I want the whole watering thing automated plants, seeds and cuttings. I want to be able to go away for some days or at least a weekend. Friends + neighbours are OK with watering, but just don't assume they know a lot about plants. What I need now is to construct some sort of covering for the cuttings (I hate it!).
