People do a lot of garage sales round here, and I think that this would be a great way to sell plants, especially if you do not own a truck. But do you need an insurance? A shop owner here was fined a lot of money because someone tripped over a pallet - usually this would be called accident but the lady decided for a lawsuit and won!!! The question is do I gamble with out house by having regular garage sales without an insurance? And how much would such an insurance be in Australia?

I wouldn't take the chance. Do you have a local farmers market? Or maybe a friend with a beauty shop where you could set up a table once in a while.

On the other hand, there are around 20 garage sales in the area each week, and I doubt that anyone has an insurance. There is as well a lady who sells veggie seedlings in spring via garage sale.
