While it seems a bit silly to me to sell these easy herbs in pots I know that people do buy them (I even saw a guy paying $20 for some corn seedlings!!. So if you sell herbs I think you must sell as well the easy annual herbs in pots like parsley, basil, chives, coriander etc. or even rocket mizuna.... I never raised seedlings for any of these plants as I always sow them directly in the garden. So how many days do you count for these herbs (basil parsley chives etc) until you have a marketable sized plant? It is best to sow them directly into a pot or do you sow rows in the garden and then transplant it into pots?

If i understand your question correctly, you'll have to pot them before you sell them, right? (unless your selling them bare root) so you might as well seed them into pots right away, that will save you the time of digging them up and potting (its like re-potting). plus there's the chance that you'll damage them during "re-potting" and kill the plants.
